High-Carbon Chef with Maple Burl

i made this long and lean Chefs knife from from 1095 high-carbon steel then etched the blade to create a smokey looking patina. The handle is made from some wildly figured Maple Burl that was then shaped into a tapered oval shape that feels great in the hand. White G10 was used as a spacer between the ferrule and handle.  

This knife comes in at and even 200 grams with a 10” cutting edge. A hand stitched, vegetable tanned leather saya also accompanies this knife.
