Ballbearing Canister EDC / Black Palm

This high-carbon everyday carry knife was created by combining powdered steel and ball bearings in a vessel, which was then forged into a single billet of steel before being hand-forged into shape. It sounds simple, but the process is lengthy and complex; however, the results, as you see, can be dramatic. After forging and heat treating, the blade is shaped, sanded by hand to a fine finish, and etched to reveal the pattern. A false edge/swage was added midway down the blade’s spine. The handle features Black Palm with a Birch Burl bolster. The sheath is made from veg-tanned leather that has been hand-stitched, dyed, custom fit for this knife and comes with a ferro rod/ fire starter. 

Please note, this blade is crafted from high-carbon steel rather than stainless steel. Each patina that forms is distinctive and unique, much like a snowflake—no two are identical. Over time, the blade will naturally darken and develop a lasting patina, reflecting its history of use and care. It's a sign of a well-used, well-loved knife.
