This chef’s knife has been hand-forged from high-carbon W2 steel. After forging, the blade was differentially heat-treated to create a distinct hamon. It was then meticulously hand-sanded to 600 grit, resulting in a refined satin finish that further highlights the hamon line.
The handle is crafted from Hawaiian Mango and Silver Flake Orange Resin.
Need a sheath? I can custom-make one for this knife and you can find that here.
Note: The patina on a high-carbon knife is truly beautiful and unique, much like a snowflake—no two are alike. It's a sign of a well-used, well-loved knife. Over time, the blade will develop a natural patina and darken with use. However, be aware that it may stain if acidic food residue isn't promptly removed. Find care instructions here.
