This knife features a stainless steel jacket forge-welded over a high-carbon steel core and hand-forged to shape, creating a dramatic layered appearance.

After forging, the blade was differentially heat-treated to produce a visible hamon. It was then meticulously hand-sanded to 800 grit, resulting in a refined satin finish that highlights the contrast between the different steel types.

The handle is crafted from Buckeye Burl and Black Paper Micarta.

Note: The patina on a high-carbon knife is truly beautiful and unique, much like a snowflake—no two are alike. It's a sign of a well-used, well-loved knife. Over time, the blade will develop a natural patina and darken with use. However, be aware that it may stain if acidic food residue isn't promptly removed. Find care instructions here.
