Hand forged with high-carbon 52100 steel, this kitchen knife has been made in Bunka style with a textured finish. The blade and has been sanded by hand to 800 grit to create a satin appearance. The 6.3 inch cutting edge is complemented by a handle made of Redwood Burl, Paper Micarta, and nickel-silver pins.
I can custom-make one for this knife if you'd like to add a leather sheath. You can find that here.
Note: The patina on a high-carbon knife is truly beautiful and unique, much like a snowflake—no two are alike. It's a sign of a well-used, well-loved knife. Over time, the blade will develop a natural patina and darken with use. However, be aware that it may stain if acidic food residue isn't promptly removed. Find care instructions here.
